A Brief History of Femdom

The internet has helped to catapult Femdom into the mainstream, but did ya know that this epic form of BDSM has been kicking about for centuries? In fact, for many cultures, it was pretty much their way of life. We would love to know what kinky shit they got up to back then.

Femdom can be traced back to the earliest civilization; the Mesopotamians. These were some kick-ass folk who worshipped a female God called Inanna. She did a lot of cool stuff, but if you wanted to worship her, then you need to do a bit of transgender dressing up and putting yourself through some severe pain while you submitted to her will.

If you want some of the earliest BDSM porn in the world, then ya need to take a trip to Pompeii in Italy. They have some epic murals depicting some femdom. Back then, women would treat men as their own personal sex toys (many of them forced to wear chastity belts), and they were meant to give their masters oral sex whenever it pleased them.

In the 1600s through to the 1900s, Femdom slipped into obscurity. It was practiced in the brothels, but you weren’t meant to talk about it. Theresa Berkley in 19th Century London was minted. She was willing to offer dominatrix services to some of the most influential people in the world. Guess what? They came (quite literally in many cases!). Hell, if you are into your fetish porn sites, then you will have probably heard of the Berkley Horse. She invented it!

Of course, nowadays we are more open to Femdom than ever before. Suppose ya have to be, really. You can look at any ‘adult entertainment’ site online and find a shit ton of it. Mr. Porn Geek is a fantastic place to start if you want some of the better sites (in addition to this one, of course!). Femdom is only going to get bigger too. It is pretty much rooted in sex now, and we are positive every man out there has subjected himself to his lass at least once or twice.
